Wedding DJ

  • How early should we book a wedding DJ in Croatia?
    We recommend booking 6–12 months in advance, especially for peak season (May–October) and destination weddings. Some weekends sell out 18 months ahead. The earliest we secure dates is 24 months out.
  • Do you DJ destination weddings outside of Split?
    Yes — across all of Croatia and internationally. We've performed in Rome, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Zürich, Vienna, Ljubljana and throughout Hvar, Brač, Vis, Korčula, and Dubrovnik. Travel within Croatia is included up to 70 km from Split; longer journeys are quoted per event.
  • Will you mix English and Croatian songs for an international wedding?
    Absolutely. Bilingual sets are our specialty. We balance international classics, current chart-toppers, traditional Croatian klapa, and any heritage music your families want — all flowing naturally through the night.
  • Do you offer wedding officiant services?
    Yes. If you've completed the legal ceremony elsewhere and want a symbolic protocol ceremony in Croatia, Matthew can officiate. He has experience with Catholic, Jewish, Hindu, and other religious traditions, as well as same-sex weddings.
  • Can you coordinate with other musicians (saxophonist, violinist, klapa, live band)?
    We frequently collaborate with saxophonists, electric violinists, swing orchestras, and live bands through our agency partner Cosmic Production. We'll arrange a seamless handover between DJ sets and live performance.
  • Do you also handle MC / announcements?
    Yes. Matthew personally handles bilingual EN/HR announcements: introductions, first dance, speeches, cake cutting, send-off. He coordinates with your planner, photographer, and venue so the timing lands perfectly.
  • What's included in the wedding price?
    All wedding packages include the DJ services and custom playlist. Lighting and sound systems are quoted separately based on venue and guest count. Travel within 70 km of Split is included; the Destination VIP package includes all-Croatia travel.
  • Can we send a do-not-play list and song requests?
    Yes — and we encourage it. You'll receive a detailed questionnaire after booking, and we have a video consultation to align on must-plays, do-not-plays, and special moments. Real-time guest requests are filtered through us so the dance floor stays on-vibe.
  • What if the wedding is outdoors and the weather turns?
    All our outdoor setups include rain covers and contingency power. We work closely with your planner on a wet-weather plan and bring backup gear so the music never stops.
  • Do you have backup equipment?
    Yes — redundant DJ controllers, mics, and key cables travel to every event. For larger weddings we also bring a secondary speaker system. We've done over 200 weddings and never lost the music.

Corporate Event DJ

  • What corporate clients have you worked with?
    YSL, Hugo Boss, Le Méridien, Tommy Hilfiger, Coca-Cola, Mercedes-Benz, Radisson Blu, Cirque du Soleil, Bose Professional, and many others. We specialize in product launches, corporate galas, brand activations, and incentive trips.
  • Can you create a playlist that fits our brand identity?
    Yes. Brand-aligned playlists are a core offering. Before the event we map your brand mood, audience demographic, and event arc, then build a custom set. For ongoing brand work we partner with Meridian Chapters In-Store Radio.
  • Do you handle dinner background music and dance floor energy in the same evening?
    Yes — that arc is what we do best. Subtle jazz/lounge during arrival and dinner, gradual energy build through speeches and toasts, full dance floor after coffee. Smooth, planned transitions.
  • Are sound and lighting included for corporate events?
    Sound and lighting are quoted separately based on the venue, guest count, and event format. As Bose brand ambassador, we cover events from 20 to 500 guests with full AV through our partner Cosmic Production.
  • Can you DJ at venues outside of hotels — on yachts, beaches, historic sites?
    Yes. We're set up for every venue type: yachts, beach clubs, fortresses, palaces, vineyards, hotels. We bring battery-powered Bose systems when grid power isn't available.
  • Do you provide an MC for product launches and brand events?
    Yes, bilingual EN/HR. Matthew handles introductions, speaker handovers, brand-message reinforcement, and timing cues — all coordinated with your PR/event team in advance.
  • Do you sign NDAs for confidential corporate events?
    Standard. We routinely sign NDAs and confidentiality agreements for product launches and celebrity events. Just send your template with the booking.
  • Is the VIP Corporate price really lower than the Premium tier?
    Pricing is reviewed individually based on guest count, venue, and equipment requirements. Please contact us for an accurate quote — published prices are starting points only.

Private Party DJ

  • What's the minimum size for a private party booking?
    We don't have a strict minimum — we've done intimate dinners of 12 and birthday parties of 400. Pricing scales with sound system requirements rather than headcount.
  • Do you DJ themed parties — Gatsby, Disco, Flower Power, '80s, '90s?
    Yes. Theme parties are a Cosmic Production specialty. We can curate authentic period playlists and recommend complementary visual/styling partners.
  • Yacht and boat parties — do you have portable equipment?
    Yes. We have battery-powered Bose S1 and L1 Pro systems specifically for yacht and beach gigs. We've performed on boats from 12 to 200 guests.
  • How is a private party different from a wedding for you?
    Different energy curve and structure. Weddings have set moments (ceremony, first dance, cake); private parties are more freeform. We bring the same gear and prep, but the playlist arc is built around the host's vibe rather than fixed ritual.
  • Can you also bring sax, percussion, or live musicians for an upgrade?
    Absolutely. We work with a curated roster through Cosmic Production — saxophonist, electric violinist, percussionist, vocalists. Adding live elements is one of our favourite upgrades for milestone birthdays.
  • Do you take last-minute bookings?
    We try to. Reach out through the contact form or call us directly — depending on the date, we may have availability or can recommend a vetted DJ from our agency roster.

General & Booking

  • How does the booking process work?
    Send us an inquiry through the contact form or email info@djmatthewbee.com. We respond within 24 hours with a custom quote. Once you accept, we send a contract and invoice for the deposit (30%) to secure your date.
  • What's the deposit and payment schedule?
    30% deposit on booking, balance due 14 days before the event. We accept bank transfer in EUR (Croatian and international transfers welcome).
  • What's your cancellation policy?
    Cancellations more than 90 days before the event: deposit fully refundable minus a 10% admin fee. Less than 90 days: deposit retained. Less than 30 days: full balance due. Date changes within the same season are usually free.
  • Are you insured?
    Yes — full public liability insurance through Cosmic Production. Coverage certificates are available on request for venues that require them.
  • What equipment do you use?
    Pioneer CDJ-3000, DJM-A9, DJM-900 Nexus 2, Technics MK7 turntable, plus DDJ-AZ / XZ / RX3 controllers. PA: Bose F1, L1 Pro 16, S1, LT, and Showmatch systems. Full mic kits — handheld, headset, and lavalier.
